Microsoft Tuesday has arrived again

by David Allen

The people over at Microsoft have been very busy recently and as today is the traditional day for patches, they have around a dozen to send over.

Whatever anyone thinks about these fixes, there are seven that are to be considered as critical for both Office and Windows.

The main vulnerabilities are affecting Internet Explorer and Media Player, no matter what operating system the computer is using.

The other patches are less critical but nevertheless important and will be concerning Office applications such as Access, Excel and PowerPoint, along with some fixes for Outlook Express, MSN Messenger and Word, plus an upgrade to its Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

This comes as a surprise considering that there were no critical patches released last month.
