BT to launch free Wi-Fi service
by David Allen

Some places get all of the luck, and Shoreditch would appear to be one of those places, as BT is going to be introducing the residents of the borough to the BT Fon Service, which will cover the entire area with a free for all Wi-Fi network.
The network is being created in conjunction with shoreditchwifi.com to give away around a thousand free wireless routers, which are colourfully named La Fonera+, for use at home or at work.
Once all of these have been taken up, the network will be complete and then residents of Shoreditch will able to surf the net for free at home or at any of the thousands of hotspots which are available throughout the UK and indeed the world.
