Layer42 enhances its Californian network
by Alan Harten
Santa Clara, California network and services company, Layer42, has announced that it has made significant improvements to its network with the successful installation of equipment supplied by Transmode.
This particular installation involved Transmode’s TM-Series equipment, which will give Layer42 higher bandwidth initially over the fibre network that currently connects the cities of San Jose and San Francisco.
The TM-Series has the ability to add even more capacity should Layer42 decide on more expansion.
Layer42 is a provider co-location, managed services and Internet services to businesses and organisations throughout the state of California.
They offer access to a carrier-grade, fully redundant network with additional security features.
They also offer IT outsourcing solutions for a wide-range of needs.
The TM-Series supports multi-protocol Transponders and Muxponders with a flexible and scalable CWDM / DWDM platform with Intelligent WDM (iWDM) technology.
This offers Layer42 true plug-and-play facilities and should reduce network and service turn up times.
