Village cut off from broadband

A village in Wales has been left without a broadband connection for the last ten days, and even before this broadband blackout their service had been at the best intermittent, but now this event is the final straw for the residents and businesses of Penrhyndeudraeth in Gwynedd.

BT has suggested that residents get in touch with their own providers in order to find out what is causing their own individual broadband problems.

This is despite the fact that all residents and business owners are suffering from the same problem.

The local people believe that this is down to the exchange for the area, as this is the third major blackout this year.

However, BT would not confirm whether the exchange would be upgraded or indeed that there is a problem with BT equipment at all.
