LG launch own brand mini laptop

by David Allen

The mini laptop computer market has been a surprising success this year.

This is especially so when coupled with a mobile broadband package. Hoping to cash into this lucrative market is LG from South Korea.

The LG Netbook X110 is expected to find its way into the Phones 4U retail stores before the rush for Christmas with a price tag of around £300.

This mini laptop will initially be available in pink and white, although there will be a black version coming out shortly afterwards.

Laptops of between seven and eight inches in size made up only 0.5% of the total market last December, but in the six months since, this has risen to around 3%.

Industry experts believe that this could increase drastically this December.

The LG Netbook comes with WLAN 802.11 b/g, 10/100 Ethernet, 80 Gb Memory, 10 inch WSVGA screen and full size keyboard.
