DVR essential to everyday life

by David Allen

It may seem surprising, but to seven out of ten people the DVR is one of the most important items in the home, in fact it could be classed as being essential to everyday life in the majority of homes, with some people saying that they could not live without it.

The mobile phone has been classed as the number one essential item, but according to the survey by NDS, the owners of DVR’s would rather give up their dishwasher, landline phone, radio and Mp3 player than give up their precious DVR.

DVR’s have come a long way over the years and when it comes to having more than one in the home, over thirty per cent of UK DVR owners say that they would like another DVR.

This could be because DVR owners watch on average slightly over four hours of live and recorded TV per day.
