Google likes Kangaroo

As the saga of Project Kangaroo moves on, the project is gaining support all of the time but not with the people who matter at the Office of Fair Trading.

Google has even offered support for the multi channel service that should offer the best of UK television provided by the BBC, ITV and Channel Four.

Although Google’s support for Kangaroo can leave a sour taste in the mouth of Kangaroo, as Google, Apple and just about any other large corporation are free to build sites and offer content at will, unlike Project Kangaroo.

Kangaroo’s problem is with other online video providers, such as Joost.

They claim that Kangaroo is unfair competition, because the owners are able to market it through their many outlets.

Sadly not even the might of Google can influence the OFT.
