Vodafone speak too fast

by David Allen

The mobile and mobile broadband provider Vodafone are in hot water with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over their advertising.

This time it is not to do with prices, or even claims about what their brand of mobile broadband can achieve.

The complaints this time have come from listeners of radio, who say that when the advert is almost finished the terms and conditions are read so fast that it is impossible for the listener to comprehend what they are saying.

The ASA agreed to the complaint, they have told Vodafone that the advert is not to be rerun in its current form.

Vodafone has responded by saying that the voice of the female actor had not been speeded up in any way and that it was similar to those conditions that are heard in other adverts.
