VUDU testing HDX downloads?
Rumours are circulating that VUDU, a US-based video download service, is testing a new technology, known as HDX, that can deliver blu-ray quality HD content.

Apparently there is one major problem with HDX. After a customer has downloaded an HDX movie, it takes a couple of hours before it begins streaming so that the customer can watch it.

With the current move to being able to watch what you want, when you want, this seems something of a step in the wrong direction.

VUDU is believed to be trialing the technology with a group of customers who, presumably, were selected on the basis of their organizational skills and patience.
