100 million downloads for App Store

by David Allen

In an announcement from Steve Jobs himself, in the last two months users of the iPhone and iTouch have downloaded over a hundred million applications for their devices.

These are impressive figures by anyone’s standards, but there are a considerable amount of applications available at the store around three thousand in all and to make it even better there is a mix of free and bought applications.

During the first month of being online, the App Store see sixty million downloads, whether there is anything it that will have to wait until a few months time when a better average will be seen.

The App Store has around six hundred free downloads and out of the rest ninety per cent are less than £6 to buy, however the Apps Store still managed to take around £17 million worth of downloads in the last month alone.
