Poor Broadband has economical effect

The UK is at risk of falling behind the rest of Europe when it comes the broadband connectivity, which could have long lasting economic and social problems for the future, according to a recent survey by a research team from the University of Oxford.

The researchers are warning that for internet users in year to come all web applications such as television, streaming of video content and so on will need high speed internet, without it internet users will be left behind.

This presents the government, internet service providers and internet users with s decision to make, the cost is already known, anything thing up to fifteen billion pounds and beyond. At the end of the day some serious investment is needed the question is who pays, the government, the ISP’s or the customers.
