Not many internet service providers are happy to come forward with admitting that their services were affected by problems with the Datahop Ethernet service link between RedBus HEX and Telecity HEX around 10 pm last night.
All internet connections were cut off when an engineer working at Telecity accidentally pulled the plug at the data centre, but instead of alerting someone and getting the accident fixed properly, he decided that he could do it and began to pull plugs.
This resulted in a four-hour blackout, before another engineer could get to the centre and put things right.
AAISP is one of those providers affected, and there were plenty of others affected, but by the early hours of the morning everything was back to normal.
