Inclarity, the hosted VoIP provider, has launched a Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) service, which is compatible with Nokia E and N series dual-mode mobile phones.

It allows workers to use just one device to access both fixed wireline and wireless networks, therefore benefiting from free or cheaper calls Wi-Fi calls.

The service also means that workers need just one handset, one phone number, one directory and one voicemail box, making business communications significantly easier and swifter.

Using the Inclarity FMC service, a handset can carry out the same functions as an IP desk-phone.

Users can transfer calls, place callers on hold and even hold three-way conference calls.

Dave Millett, Chief Operating Officer at Inclarity, said: “This has the potential to change the way businesses use telephony in the office forever. We’re one of the first companies to market with a comprehensive FMC offering in the UK. In these pressured economic times it’s vital that companies have a practical way to take advantage of cheaper calls and more effective communication”.
