BT to use 2Wire HomePortal

by David Allen

BT have selected the 2Wire Intelligent Gateways for deployment on the BT super fast network.

This fibre based broadband network is part of the planned upgrading of the entire BT network, which was announced earlier in the year.

However, this is not their first time that 2Wire and BT have been in partnership, as BT has used their residential gateway equipment for nearly five years.

BT say that their superfast broadband network will give their customers the speed required to run multiple programmes such as watching and posting video, conferencing and interactive gaming in HD.

But that is not all; an entire family will be able to access these applications at the same time, which makes all of the difference.
