The Toshiba 52XF550U with its 52″ picture and high definition brilliance, is definitely something that you would want for yourself.  Watching shows on the 52XF550U with its Super Narrow 0.9″ Bezel frame really is spine tingling. The frame is so slight that it could probably fit anywhere and anyway you want.

The 52XF550U comes with Toshiba’s ClearFrame feature which translates into 120Hz anti-blur technology and also doubles the displayed frame rate to 120 frames per second or 120Hz. The result is a seamless translation from Hollywood studios to your living room. Since films are generally 24 frames per second and most TVs run at 30 frames per second, the sets come in with 3:2 pull down, which often results in frazzled artifacts popping across TV screens. So, thanks again to ClearFrame for doing away with flickering blurriness and delivering a pure, seamless picture.

Your 52XF550U has an incognito sound system. Just because it’s nicknamed a sound strip doesn’t mean it lacks dynamic ranges. In fact, the Low-Height SoundStrip 2 Speaker System teams up with the SRS WOW to harness a cinematic sound.

SRS WOW consists of three separate sound expanding systems, which work together to extract buried highs and lows. The three systems are, SRS 3D, TruBass, and FOCUS&trade.

SRS 3D creates a three dimensional sound field from just two speakers, thus giving the listener the feeling of hearing a multi speaker surround sound system. TruBass produces a powerful, yet low, frequency sound by utilizing a process called psychoacoustics. From only two small speakers, TruBass will give the effect of an expensive sub bass woofer that will leave the listener amazed by the quality of the sound. FOCUS was added to direct the energy from the speakers of the television set in a vertical direction up towards the listener’s ears. The addition of FOCUS means that there is virtually no loss of sound from the speaker’s position on the bottom panel near the floor, which achieves a clear, undistorted range of audio.

Additional pluses for this set includes PixelPure that brings you that 1080p high definition picture. It takes advantage of both the internal 14-bit video processor and the 10-bit display panel to show a mind-blowing 16,384 levels of gradation, which results in a smooth and natural picture.

Another is the CineSpeed that brings an 8ms or faster response speed for cleaner high-action home theater images. Perfect for gaming modes. Lastly, ColorBurst, that uses CCFL back-lighting to expand the color range to 90% plus. Vibrant, natural colors enhance every image.

No need to be a closet computer geek these days. In fact, it’s time to show off your computer wizardry. Plug your laptop into the 52XF550U’s D-sub, 15-pin PC input. Or, if watching you compute isn’t your guest’s idea of a good time, plug in your Blu-ray player. Or gaming system. Choose from 3 HDMI and 2 HD ColorStream component video inputs. The built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners let you access DTV and analog TV channels in case you’re not totally digitized.
