Openzone customers lose the Cloud

by David Allen

BT have informed their Openzone customers, in an email, that free access to the Cloud’s Wi-Fi hotspots will no longer be available from 9.00 am on the 2nd October.

The emails were sent out to all BT Openzone customers, saying that although the company knows the news might affect customers’ Wi-Fi coverage, or hotspots they regularly visit, the good news is that because availability of Wi-Fi from BT has grown in the past year, customers shouldn’t be too disadvantaged.

Openzone customers will have access to three thousand hotspots located around the UK and for travelers abroad there are an additional forty thousand hotspots.

This is not the end of the partnership between BT and the Cloud, because there is an offer on the table.

BT Openzone customers will get thirty days free access when they take out a subscription with the Cloud.
