Free laptop from Virgin Media

by David Allen

It has not taken long for the deal between the Carphone Warehouse and Virgin Media to begin to fall in line with the other broadband providers, by offering a laptop in conjunction with their broadband offering.

However this deal is down to the Carphone Warehouse as Virgin do not offer such sweeteners to their new customers who sign up for broadband directly with them.

New customers going into the Carphone Warehouse store will get a Toshiba Satellite L300 laptop worth £440, when they sign up for the Virgin Media triple play XL package which costs £49 per month, but rises to £56 per month after six months.

The triple play package includes up to 20 Mbps XL Broadband, XL TV and XL Phone services.

There could some additional costs attached to this deal, of around £65 for delivery and installation, although it is not too clear how this charge is applied.
