Customers of the broadband provider, Be Broadband, will from now on be able to take control of their broadband and change the settings to suit their own personal needs.
The broadband provider is offering four different settings to choose from:
-
Standard setting - for general broadband usage
Optimise for speed – for customers who use services such as the BBC’s iPlayer to watch TV over the Internet, or watch videos on YouTube
Optimise for reliability – for customers who spend long periods online, and need to minimise downtime, such as those using VoIP services like Skype
Gaming Mode – this services is ideal for online gamers as it provides a quicker response time when connecting to servers
This is giving the customer what they want, which is really what all internet service providers should be doing, as not all internet users are the same as they have different uses for the internet.
