One of the things that parents fear is letting their children loose on the internet.
It’s ok saying keep an eye on them, but as any parent will know this is just not possible all of the time.
However, the European Union have been working on a scheme that will target cyber bullying and child pornography.
This scheme has been given £44 million to improve the safety of our children while using the internet; this will mean more public awareness campaigns and national centres where illegal content can be reported.
According to a survey conducted by Eurobarometer, seventy four per cent of youngsters aged between twelve and fifteen use the internet for around three hours per day.
This is should come as no surprise, however the shocking thing is that nearly all of them have looked at pornography.
The scheme comes as the European Union are increasingly coming under pressure to do something about the internet becoming a haven for crime.
