London is still wireless capital of the world
by David Allen

London may be the world leader in Wi-Fi access points, but as other cities from around globe begin to catch up, the network in the capital seems to be showing signs of wear and tear.
A survey, from the security company RSA, did find that London was on top with over twelve thousand Wi-Fi access points, while the nearest city, New York, has only nine thousand.
However, the actual growth in access points in London has begun to slow down, which could see other cities such as Paris, which has seen a growth rate of over five hundred per cent, begin to catch up on London.
There was another matter for concern and that is the security of the access points.
It is estimated that around a fifth of all business access points in the capital are unprotected, which should raise a few eyebrows.
