Isle of Man has to choose region

It has to be said that more or less everyone who owns a TV must also know about the digital switchover, after all there are adverts on all of the time and even big splashes throughout the media.

As the switchover works its way around the country, viewers would normally have to decide how they wish to view digital TV. They can choose either satellite or, where it is available, Freeview.

However, in some areas this is not the only choice that they need to make, as residents of the Isle of Man are finding out.

Residents of the island have to choose which ITV region that want to receive, as they are tied to the mainland for tourism and trade, so they need to decide between Granada and Border & Tyne Tees services by the 21st November.

This has to be done in writing to the Isle of Man communications commission.
