O2 has secured exclusive distribution rights for the first ever clamshell Blackberry smartphone.
The flip form factor Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 features a large, high resolution display, SureType keypad, built in Wi-Fi connectivity and rich multimedia capabilities.
An easily accessible microSD/SDHC memory card slot supports up to 16GB of storage.
In addition to the large inner screen with light sensing colour display, a smaller LCD colour display on the outside of the clamshell incorporates a clock and dynamic notification of incoming calls and messages.
Capabilities of the phone are voice, email, messaging, organiser, internet browsing, and access to thousands of business and lifestyle software applications.
A media player organises pictures and videos and music, whilst a 2 megapixel camera comes with flash, digital zoom, and video recording.
