US Election Viewing and Combined Live Chat

As British schoolchildren look forward to the bonfire night festivities, the polls will be closing on perhaps the most important American election in many years.

On November 4th (local time) the American population will decide who will spend the next four years running the White House.

This may be big news for American citizens and other interested parties around the world, but it is possibly of the most interest to the multitude of global news channels that will be blanketing events with massive coverage.

Livestation has announced that it will be providing a unique and interactive event on the day.

The new Livestation chat facility will receive its first major event tryout since its implementation, to coincide with the vast array of live election broadcasting.

Viewers of the election via Livestation will be able to see events as they unfold on their desktops and also be able to engage in real time chat with other viewers and even professional journalists and production staff from the networks.

The news analysis and discussion events are planned to last at least 12 hours on each of the multiple news channels.

The English version of the Arab news channel Al Jazeera will be offering viewers the opportunity to engage in live chat with their producers as the events happen.

All of the major news organisations will be out there in force with their best-known and most experienced faces fronting proceedings.

The BBC will be offering veteran commentator David Dimbleby on their BBC World News Channel.

Al Jazeera producer Riz Khan says that his company uses Livestation for gauging immediate live reaction to what they are broadcasting.

He says that the key element in their productions is a concept of interactivity with their viewers.
