Chester cut off by BT

by David Allen

BT contractors working to improve the telecom network in Chester ended up cutting off the entire city centre when they cut through the main cable.

This accident affected many businesses and homes throughout the city, including the main line station, yet a simple fix is not expected, in fact BT suspect that the repairs could last all week.

The business community is the most vocal over the problem as Chester is a busy city, and as it is leading up to the start of the festive season hotels and restaurants are especially worried about the loss of phone lines.

It is amazing how a simple accident can not only take so long to fix, but affect so many people and businesses in the process.
