Sky on track for ten million subscribers
by David Allen

BSkyB have not been feeling the credit crunch yet, if their figures for the first quarter are anything to go on.
The company has announced that they have seen a twenty five per cent increase in profits, plus they have attracted a further 87,000 customers pushing the subscriber base to over nine million for the first time.
However, although they have such a large customer base, they have only managed to convert around twelve per cent of these to the triple play level, which is when a customer subscribes to TV, broadband and home telephone services.
Although Sky has seen a nice increase subscriber numbers, they have seen a number of customers reducing their packages down from the more expensive in order to save some cash every month.
