DisplaySearch records Plasma TV sales growth
According to research firm, DisplaySearch, cost cutting on high definition Plasma TVs pushed sales up 37% in the third quarter to 4.2 million units.

Sales growth was driven by keen pricing, especially on 32-inch sets, as well as greater availability of high-definition content.

The most popular Plasma TV manufacturer in terms of revenue taken was Panasonic, followed by Samsung, LG, Pioneer and Hitachi.

DisplaySearch predicts Plasma sales of 15.5 million units for the year.
