It has been a good week for Virgin Media, not only have they just reached an agreement with the satellite broadcaster Sky to restore those channels lost around eighteen months ago, but they have also announced some promising results too for the third quarter.
These results show that despite having lost access to Sky One and the other Sky channels, Virgin Media were still able to increase their TV user base by nearly forty thousand new customers, taking their total up to almost 3.6 million subscribers.
However, it is not just the TV service that Virgin Media subscribers are using, but other services such as video on demand; the average view per customer per month was twenty seven during the quarter, whereas a year ago it was only seventeen.
