Virgin Media to cut jobs

After securing a delayed payment on their loans, it was only a matter of time before the cost cutting programmes would begin at Virgin Media.

The group that employs just under fifteen thousand people, has announced that they will be cutting back their staffing levels but not until the later part of next year.

Although it is never a nice thing to talk about job losses and cost cutting schemes, it was inevitable that something like would happen after the company went to their bankers in order to delay their loan repayments.

Virgin Media need to make saving of around £120 million over the next four years in order to stay on track, no announcement has been made as to where or when these cuts will actually take place.
