UK company dx3, a digital content delivery services provider, has been acquired by India-based IMI.
IMI, which provides mobile value added services for content providers, mobile operators and media agencies, is expanding into Europe and dx3 represents its first foothold on the continent.
The acquisition brings together IMI’s experience in the mobile sector with dx3’s expertise in the web domain.
dx3 has a library of over two million music tracks from all the world’s major music labels, and it provides marketing solutions to major clients.
Dx3 will be brought under the IMI brand, and its carrier-grade DaVinci platform will become part of a managed service offering to power mobile and online digital marketing initiatives of major European brands, publishers and retailers.
Vishwanath Alluri, the CEO and founder of IMI said “We see two key growth areas emerging. Firstly, converged media campaigns that use both mobile and online platforms. Secondly, ‘off deck’, direct to consumer mobile and fixed line operator promotions, working with big name brands to offer innovative offers and marketing inducements to their subscriber base.”
