Is the price of Sky about to rise?
by David Allen
It may be unofficial at the moment but it seems that the prices of Sky Broadband look as if they are about to change.
As of March next year it is expected that there will no longer be a free version of Sky Broadband unless it is taken out with Sky Talk.
Basically what the price changes look like is an incentive for their customers to sign up for Sky Talk.
For those who remain single users the price looks set to rise, but for those customers who take out the triple play bundle there could be discounts.
The initial price changes are expected to look something like this:
Base (2Mbps / 2GB Usage Allowance) - FREE, will change to, Base - £5 or FREE with Sky Talk
Mid (8Mbps / 40GB) - £5, will change to, Mid - £10 or £5 with Sky Talk
Max (16Mbps / Unlimited) - £10, will change to, Max - £15 or £10 with Sky Talk
Connect (8Mbps / 40GB [BT based]) - £17, will change to, Connect - £17 (no increase or requirement for Sky Talk)
