Humax silences the fans
by David Allen

There is nothing worse than a personal video recorder (PVR) that has a fan running all of time, but this is what some owners of Humax’s PVR 9150T and PVR 9300T have been putting up with.
Fortunately the makers have been listening and will be issuing a software fix for the problem.
This software will be downloaded over the air, but will only install once the unit is in stand by mode.
This will fix the problem, which has been caused by a noisy fan; the software will control the fan system to make sure that the fan noise is kept to the minimum required.
These software update will be sent out on the 27th to 29th November for the PVR 9300T, while the PVR 9150T will be updated between the 5th and 8th December.
Maybe the makers will have learnt something from this for next time too.
