O2 bucks the trend in broadband

by David Allen

While there has been an apparent slowdown in the take up of fixed line broadband in the UK, one provider has found some pace in their customer base development and has increased their new customers by sixteen per cent on the previous quarter.

O2 have recently reported that their customer base has grown by over seventy thousand new subscribers. This goes against the current trend within the industry where many providers are seeing a downturn in new customer sign ups.

The internet service provider now claims to have around two hundred and seventy thousand customers.

The company puts this down to the recent customer satisfaction surveys, which have put O2 down as the fastest broadband provider with the best customer satisfaction in the UK.
