CREDANT and Safend Release CREDANT Protector
by Alan Harten
CREDANT has partnered up with Data Leakage Prevention solutions company, Safend, to give CREDANT customers additional sensitive data protection.
The partnership will see the use of Safend’s endpoint data leakage monitoring and protection technologies integrated into CREDANT’s existing extensive data protection portfolio.
The company wanted the new solution so that it could combine it with their latest development, the CREDANT Protector for device and wireless port control solutions and extensive optical media (CD/DVD) encryption.
The normalised use of smart phones and USB memory sticks means that it has become far too easy for those with bad intentions to download crucial information without being detected.
The two companies believe that the marriage of their different, but compatible solutions, will provide an excellent all-round tool to assist in many aspects of security.
Earlier in the year Safend commissioned a survey and discovered that 44% of those interviewed had only moderate endpoint and port security instigated, and amazingly a quarter of the respondents had no security in place at all.
The two companies believe that the new enhanced CREDANT Protector will be capable of extremely high levels of device control functionality and encryption.
This will be an easy-to-use comprehensive endpoint data protection and data leakage solution.
There will also be the availability of real-time traffic monitoring and highly granular security policies over physical, wireless and storage interfaces
