26% change ISPs at end of contract

In a recent survey it has been found that over a quarter of internet service providers’ customers intend to change broadband providers when their contracts come to an end.

There are also a variety of reasons as to why they would want switch.

The main reasons for customers to even consider switching is broadband speed and connection; over forty one per cent of those asked mentioned these two reasons for looking around for another supplier.

Although from the ISPs point of view it seems that their customers are also confused about switching, because nearly half have no plans to switch, while twenty eight per cent say that it is likely that they will switch to another provider.

The problem for consumers is that coming to a decision on where to go for broadband services is difficult.

For one there is the element of not knowing if the ISP that they switch to is better than the one they are currently with, and then there is the time factor of how long it takes to switch providers.
