Cheapest mobile broadband service launched

Mobile broadband is not for everyone, but occasionally there are those times when some computer users wish they had it, and these occasions arise normally when the consumer is away from the office or home and there is no internet access.

To cover this market Virgin Media are bringing out an interesting addition to their pay as you go service, which offers mobile broadband at just 30p per day.

The service only allows for 25 Mb of data usage, but if it were just for reading and sending emails, then it would do just fine.

However the terms of service do exclude business, international, file sharing, VOIP and video calls, and going over the data limit could work out expensive.

Virgin Media will charge £2 per Mb, but this service is the cheapest around by a long way at the moment, so costs would need to be weighed up.
