Usage allowances double on mobile broadband

The pricing of mobile broadband is a threat to fixed line broadband services according to a report presented by Tariff Consultancy.

This has been heard before, but there have been some significant changes to the pricing structures over the past year making mobile broadband even more competitive.

But there are still two things that hold back mobile broadband, the first is the data usage allowances that the providers offer and secondly there is the connection speed.

These are the issues that really prevent mobile broadband from directly competing against fixed line broadband.

However, the mobile broadband providers are working on the data usage allowances and the average has doubled over the past year to 4 Gb.

As for the network coverage the industry are working on this too, but they need to be quick because for every step they make to increase coverage, the fixed line broadband providers also make changes to their networks.
