Minister says not all will get superfast broadband

Superfast broadband with a connection speed of up to 100 Mbps is being made available right across Europe, but the Minister for Communication, Technology and Broadcasting, Steven Carter, feels that too much is being put on the need for speed when it comes to superfast broadband.

In fact, the man from the Ministry feels that not every house in every street will be able to get access to the fibre network.

This is because although superfast broadband is being rolled out throughout Europe, not every household can get the service.

There is an issue with exactly what people are going to do on the network, because the internet service providers are worried about the cost.

These could be graduated in order for ISPs to be able to cope with the growing demand for TV over the broadband network.
