Bliss partners with TMC for Blisstext
Text Messaging Centre (TMC), which provides web-based text messaging solutions for businesses, has devised a new service for premature baby charity, Bliss.

Blisstext is a text messaging helpline option, which allows the charity to support families with special care babies, via text.

The roll out of Blisstext will complement the organisation’s existing telephone helpline service.

Blisstext uses TMC to issue text messages providing advice and support to multiple recipients at any time from a web-based application.

The advice provided covers medical information, but the charity also helps with other topics, such as financial advice.

Carmel Bartley, Family Support Manager for Bliss, said: “Text is now the first choice means of communication among the young parents we help. Each message is managed highly effectively through the internet application. Whenever an SMS is received, the TMC system sends an email to the whole support team to alert them to the message, ensuring that no enquiry is ever missed and the person with the most suitable skills always responds.”
