Tesco looking at Talk Talk’s market
by David Allen

The telecom division of Tesco could be interested in going head to head with the Carphone Warehouse voice and broadband division Talk Talk, as the supermarket is looking at providing a complete bundle of phone and broadband services.
It is Tesco’s aim to become the UK’s top provider of these services and if they follow their business pattern there is no reason to doubt the supermarkets ability to market these service to their existing customers, as they have done with other services.
Tesco Mobile is a joint venture with O2, but they also sell the services of other providers in both contract and pay as you go form, in their “Extra” stores and online.
However, there is plenty of scope to expand these services into all stores and therefore open up an even wider market to offer these products and services to.
