New customers signing up to broadband were just a half of one per cent for the third quarter of 2008, but the growth for the whole year stands at six per cent.
These figures come from the Deloitte Digital Index, which tracks the take up of twelve digital products, in order to get the full story of the growth of digital products throughout the country.
The figures from the last quarter of 2008 are lower than expected; this has been put down to the current financial crisis. However, the digital revolution has taken too much of hold to suffer for long.
No doubt, these figures will be getting a boost from the festive season that is nearly here, this is when items like mobile broadband that are combined with laptops will really take off, and in turn is bound to have an effect on the figures for the next quarter.
