Browsing is good for older people

The government keep on about the digital divide; this is the gap between those that have access to the broadband network and those who do not.

It has been widely mentioned that it is the older generation that are the main victims of the digital divide, but this may not be so.

According to the organisation Age Concern, the older generation, often described as the silver surfers are quite at home with the internet, in fact there is recent research that actually found older users of the internet find that they are able think faster while surfing the net.

Another reason why it is good for older users to be using the internet is the fact that they can do their week’s shopping, check out the bills and even book up their holidays online.

Because of this, the internet is quite simply changing the lives of some older people.
