Slow down for digital TV

As with anything the final ten to fifteen per cent is always going to be the hardest.

This is so with digital TV; as the take up of this service creeps closer to ninety per cent the take up has began to slow down.

This makes the figures look bad, but in effect this is only a natural process which can be seen throughout business.

The figure produced by the regulator Ofcom show that the amount of households turning digital rose by only 0.02 per cent in the second quarter, making it only 3.1 per cent on the year.

This makes the total amount of households with digital TV now stands at just over 88 per cent.

However, these figures have been boosted by the fact that 60 per cent of homes now have digital TV on a second TV in the home.
