BBC to launch junior iPlayer
by David Allen

The BBC has finally launched a pivotal part of the plan for the iPlayer and that is to offer a junior version of the catch up service.
The CBBC iPlayer will allow children to catch up with all of their favourite shows on the CBBC channels and at the same time will give parents peace of mind in knowing that they are not watching late night BBC programmes intended for adult viewing only.
For children this will be just another digital form of entertainment to add to their collection of social networking and other sites.
However, the BBC will see this as way of attracting new viewers for programming that has been overlooked in the past.
