T Mobile offers “free” Asus

The mobile provider is going into the New Year with a new deal for customers signing for their brand of mobile broadband.

Customers signing up for a twenty four month long contract at a cost of £25 per month will be able to pick up an Asus EEE PC904HD laptop with a free USB modem stick, 3GB monthly fair use amount, 200 free texts and Wi-Fi hotspot access completely free of charge.

The Asus EEE PC904HD laptop has an 8.9-widescreen display, an Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, an 80GB HDD, Wi-Fi, a card reader, Windows XP Home and a webcam.

Asus has been chosen over Acer, who provided laptops for T mobile in the past but suffered from supply problems.

This was not only embarrassing for the provider but may have cost them some valuable new contracts too.
