Orange launches new 3G network

It looks like Orange has been busy developing its HSPA network.

The company has just completed an upgrade of over seven hundred and sixty sites in Northern Ireland and Scotland, which has given the network an improvement of twenty per cent for both mobile and data services.

These upgrades mean that Orange can now claim a UK coverage of ninety four per cent for 3G, while for 3G+ they have a national coverage of seventy per cent.

It aims to provide speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps in the top thirty cities, while for the rest of the country an up-to-2 Mbps service will be provided.

Recently, in a YouGov survey, Orange mobile broadband came out on top for customer satisfaction and while the provider is investing £1 million per working day in its network this just may continue.
