Plusnet analyse Xmas surfing habits

by David Allen

The internet service provider Plusnet has been analysing internet traffic to see which sites came out on top with its customers over the festive period.

The top four remained unchanged for both Christmas day and Boxing Day.

Rank - Christmas Day
1 Google
2 Facebook
3 BBC
4 Amazon
5 iTunes
6 YouTube
7 eBay
8 MSN
9 Bebo
10 Microsoft

Rank - Boxing Day
1 Google
2 Facebook
3 BBC
4 Amazon
5 eBay
6 YouTube
7 iTunes
8 Argos
9 Bebo
10 Play.com

It seems amazing that there has been little difference over the two days.

Shopping would still appear to be the favourite online hobby, probably in the hope of tracking down those last minute bargains, as if the pre Christmas spend was not enough.
