UK broadband too expensive

In a recent survey of UK broadband users by ISPreview.co.uk, well over half of those asked believed that they were paying too much money to their internet service providers, despite the fact that the UK has one of the most competitive broadband markets in Europe.

One of the facts to come out of this survey concerns the take up of the so called free broadband services offered in conjunction with other services.

According to the survey, only around four per cent of broadband users claim to get free broadband.

As there is a wide variation in services and prices, there are likely to be some customers who feel that they are paying over the odds.

One thing that ISPs should be aware of, is that twenty five per cent of users plan to switch ISPs when their contract ends.

The reason why we think we pay too much is because the likes of Virgin media give less than half price to new customers — then existing customers think wtf? Why shouldn’t we get the same treatment? YOU need us to stay…
