Sony Ericsson has announced its C510 Cyber-shot phone, which promises advanced photo features at an affordable price.
The phone’s 3.2-megapixel Cyber-shot camera features face detection technology which can detect faces and bring them into focus instead of the background.
This face-friendly camera also has a feature known as “Smile Shutter”, which auto-snaps pictures when someone is smiling, and when you’ve taken your perfectly focused, smiley photo you can upload it to the web via a special YouTube application.
The phone also includes Photo Fix software so that you can tweak your photos before downloading them to a PC.
Other features include a music play, e-mail, IM and Microsoft Exchange software, FM radio, Bluetooth and Google maps.
The phone will be available in the first quarter of 2009. No pricing details are available at the moment.
