Nokia has released two new handsets this week: one for fitness freaks, and the other for eco-friendly activists.
The Nokia N79 Active is a ‘healthy twist’ on the N79.
This ‘perfect running companion’ comes with a specially designed armband to hold the phone in place whilst you work out, and a Bluetooth heart rate monitor to help you keep track of the calories you’re burning.
Sports tracker and A-GPS software is also bundled in as part of the deal.
This lets you see where you’ve run or cycled, and how fast you went.
You can even take a peek at your friends’ running routes, with their permission.
A built-in MP3 player with 4GB onboard storage lets you listen to your favourite tunes as you pound the pavements.
Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and geotagging.
Expected price of the N79 Active is £350, with release date imminent.
An environmentally friendly twist on the N79 – the N79 Eco – is available from Nokia‘s online shop.
It ships in a smaller box, and comes without a charger.
Nokia donates £4 to conservation organisation the WWF for every device sold.
The N79 Eco is priced £319, and is available now.
