There are number of broadband users who have been involved in a dispute that has left them without any broadband access.
The dispute is between an internet service provider Tiscali and the broadband supplier 186K, and has left 186K’s users with no access at all.
The broadband supplier 186K provides virtual ISPs like EFH Broadband, Mailbox Internet and EzeeDSL, but Tiscali has seen its contracts terminated through a dispute, and 186K’s customers are now being told that they require a migration code (MAC) in order to be able to switch providers.
This is affecting many users who have had to spend a lot of time on phone trying to resolve this matter, but MAC codes can take anything up to two weeks to get.
However, it would appear that some users are able to access the internet by using temporary usernames and passwords provided by their ISPs.
